What's Fleet Astra?

"Fleet Astra" is the working name for a science fiction setting with a historical flair!

The peace between sprawling, powerful intersteller houses has shattered, bringing the destruction of war to human space, and signalling the death of the Great Golden Age!

The universe of Fleet Astra is one torn by strife and punctuated with intrigue as great powers clash on the field, in the stars and smokey back-rooms. Caught between the three Great Houses of Mankind are numerous Free Worlds and Lesser Houses, now suddenly drawn into a dire struggle for independence and survival. At mankind's edge, a vast alien foe begins to take notice of her neighbors' affairs.

Project

Fleet Astra seeks to create a strange and interesting science-fiction, science-fantasy universe, with a unique atmosphere and strange directions for technologies. Unlike most science fiction settings, Fleet Astra is created with a Latin flair in mind, taking inspiration from 19th-20th century Latin-American colonial and post-colonial history.
